CockroachDB Brings Distributed SQL to IBM Power and IBM Cloud

Cockroach Labs announced on May 13, 2026 that CockroachDB will be available in the IBM Cloud catalog and supported on IBM Power processor-based server systems. Enterprises receive a path to adopt distributed SQL in IBM’s ecosystem while preserving existing IBM Power investments. The inclusion builds on growing Cockroach Labs and IBM collaboration for hybrid cloud deployments. Customers gain procurement options through IBM Cloud agreements with consistent support across environments.
