Ranger Finance co-founder Cobra announced on May 15, 2026, that the Solana ecosystem DeFi project is gradually shutting down due to funding pressures and the impact of the Drift attack. The founder had injected personal funds to maintain operations after delayed fundraising failed and funds raised were returned. The team used the remaining two months of operating funds to pay employees and suppliers as fairly as possible but could not cover all expenses. Unexpected treasury liquidation severely impacted budget decisions, and the subsequent Drift attack depleted remaining funds and personal capital.
