Genmab Halts Recruitment for ProfoundBio-Derived Cancer Candidate GEN1286

Genmab stopped patient recruitment for Phase I/II study of bispecific ADC GEN1286 acquired through the $1.8 billion ProfoundBio deal. Only 23 of the planned 260 patients enrolled before the study was classified as active but without new recruitment. The update appeared in January 2026 with follow-on pipeline actions reported in May 2026. Genmab continues development of the remaining Phase 3 asset Rina-S targeting FRα.
