Deep Vellum and Texas Book Festival Launch Burro Libro Press

Texas Book Festival launched Burro Libro Press in partnership with Deep Vellum on May 15, 2026. The imprint focuses on debut literary fiction by emerging authors with strong Texas ties and plans one title per year. Submissions open from June 1–30, 2026, with the inaugural work set for 2027 publication. Deep Vellum provides editorial support while Letterpress PLAY handles the print run of 2,000 copies.
