Cline Team Extracted Core Agent Harness into Standalone SDK

The Cline team extracted the core agent harness into a standalone open-source TypeScript SDK called @cline/sdk on May 15, 2026. The SDK features a layered stack with @cline/shared for types, @cline/llms for provider gateway, @cline/agents for stateless execution loop and @cline/core for Node runtime. Early internal benchmarks show the new CLI completes tasks faster and at lower token cost than the old monolithic architecture. The SDK ensures long-running agent work is not lost when a UI restarts.
