Turso Kills Bug Bounty Program Citing AI Slop Overwhelming Review Process

Neowin reported on May 15, 2026 that Turso ended its bug bounty program after AI agents flooded the team with useless reports. The $1,000 bounty for data corruption bugs had operated for almost one year and paid rewards to five developers including Mikael Francoeur who was later hired by Turso. Turso maintained confidence in its testing suite with Deterministic Simulator, fuzzers, and Antithesis but retired the program to remove financial incentives for AI-generated spam. The company continues to accept open-source contributions without the bounty structure.
