Pulumi CEO Joe Duffy Reports AI Agents Perform 20 Percent of Infrastructure Deployments

Pulumi co-founder and CEO Joe Duffy published a May 19, 2026 blog post stating LLMs now perform over 20 percent of infrastructure deployments on the Pulumi platform up from virtually zero a year ago. The post details new agent accounts for ephemeral Pulumi Cloud access from tools like Claude Code and Codex plus the pulumi do command for direct create read update delete and list operations. Duffy expects agent usage to grow to over 50 percent before the end of 2026. The announcement includes new CoreWeave and NVIDIA AI Cluster Runtime providers for AI workloads.
