Netlify launched Netlify Database as generally available on April 28, 2026, upgrading from beta status with over 400,000 databases created. The fully managed Postgres service integrates natively into the Netlify workflow for Deploy Previews and isolated branches using production data snapshots. Netlify continues its partnership with Neon to power the databases while allowing beta users to keep existing Neon accounts or switch optionally. Databases consume compute and bandwidth credits on all credit-based plans with plan-specific quotas for databases, branches and backup retention; storage remains free until July 1, 2026 in prior announcements. The launch supports AI-native development with auto-provisioning for agents and Git/NPM optimizations.
