Moonshot AI raised about US$2 billion in a new funding round boosting its valuation to more than US$20 billion. The Beijing-based company behind the Kimi chatbot completed the round led by Long-Z Investments with participation from China Mobile. Moonshot AI raised US$3.9 billion in the last six months and its annual recurring revenue exceeded US$200 million in April. The company whose assets were held by a Cayman Islands parent is navigating Beijing’s new IPO rules for overseas-registered firms while considering a Hong Kong listing.
