Supabase updates self-hosted docker-compose for Postgres 17 upgrade and Studio role switch effective June 2026

Supabase published changes on May 18, 2026 for self-hosted users including switching the default database image from Postgres 15 to Postgres 17 in the week of June 15, 2026. The update also switches Studio and postgres-meta from supabase_admin to postgres role on the same date requiring a one-time reassign-owner.sh script for public schema objects on existing instances. A third change makes Analytics and Vector services opt-in via docker-compose.logs.yml overlay starting June 3, 2026 to reduce CPU and memory footprint for default docker compose up. These updates align self-hosted Supabase with the main platform behavior from 2022 onward.
