VAST Data Deploys Platform at Texas Advanced Computing Center for HPC and AI Workloads

VAST Data deployed its platform as the primary file system for Stampede3 at the Texas Advanced Computing Center on May 14, 2026. The deployment supports mixed HPC and AI jobs after an initial proof of concept with real workloads and upgrades. TACC expanded the system in stages by adding nodes live in production without downtime, leading to the larger Horizon system for mixed HPC and GPU workloads. VAST Data eliminated I/O instability at TACC where previous Lustre file systems caused 90 percent of system downtimes.
