PayPal and WalletConnect Announce Partnership for Crypto Payments

WalletConnect announced a partnership with PayPal on May 15 2026 for crypto payments integration. The deal followed a podcast with PayPal’s Head of Crypto Product and coincided with WalletConnect publishing a report on $400 billion in stablecoin transactions. WalletConnect also joined an Ethereum Foundation initiative on clear signing to reduce scams. CEO Houlgrave appeared on Bloomberg TV the same week.
