Anthropic Acqui-Hires Humanloop Team in Talent Competition

Anthropic hired the co-founders of Irish-founded AI startup Humanloop in 2025. Humanloop shut down after the leadership move. CEO Raza Habib, CTO Peter Hayes, and CPO Jordan Burgess joined Anthropic along with most of the engineering team. The acquisition followed Humanloop signaling it would shut down ahead of the deal the prior month. Humanloop had built a reputation for enterprise AI tools before the wind-down.
