Notion Launches Developer Platform to Become AI Work Hub

Notion launched a Developer Platform on May 14, 2026, during a livestreamed product event on Wednesday. The update introduces Workers for custom code execution in a cloud-based sandbox, database sync from external APIs, agent interoperability with partners including Claude Code and Cursor, and a CLI for developers. Ivan Zhao, Notion co-founder and CEO, said any data, any tool, any agent is the big picture for the platform. Workers are free through August and use the same credit system as Custom Agents. Over one million agents have been built since the February launch of Custom Agents.
