Linear Launches Code Intelligence for Agent in Public Beta

Linear released Code Intelligence on May 14, 2026, giving its Agent controlled access to GitHub repositories for codebase reasoning. The feature lets teams query implementation details, behavior causes, change impacts, and technical constraints without interrupting engineers or reviewing code manually. Setup requires GitHub integration and admin-controlled repository selection based on existing permissions. Code Intelligence is available in public beta for Business and Enterprise plans and free during the beta period. Karri Saarinen announced the update on May 14, 2026, following the March 2026 Linear Agent launch where coding agents reached 75 percent of enterprise workspaces.
