CoreWeave Announces Sandboxes Public Preview with Weights & Biases Serverless Option

CoreWeave launched CoreWeave Sandboxes in public preview on May 14, 2026, as an execution layer for RL, agent tool use and model evaluation. Researchers without clusters access the feature serverless through Weights & Biases by installing the Python SDK and authenticating with an existing W&B API key. On-cluster users run sandboxes on their own CoreWeave Kubernetes Service instances while serverless users avoid infrastructure decisions entirely. CoreWeave Sandboxes supports thousands of parallel sandboxes per training step with built-in Weights & Biases monitoring.
