Form Energy and Crusoe announced a binding agreement for 12 gigawatt-hours of iron-air batteries to power AI data centers. Form Energy’s Weirton facility will begin producing and shipping the batteries starting in 2027 under the Crusoe partnership. Form Energy CEO Mateo Jaramillo stated the company is the only one in the world that makes this battery and the first to commercialize this technology. The agreement supports Crusoe's AI infrastructure needs with multi-day energy storage systems manufactured in West Virginia.
