Open-Source Alternative Langship Launches with Protest at LangChain Interrupt

Robin Delta posted on May 13, 2026 about an open-source alternative to LangSmith Deployment called Langship. The launch included a "Dear LangChain" open letter and a rented truck circling the Interrupt conference with a QR code to the manifesto. The post described the move as the most aggressive dev-tools launch since Vercel versus Netlify. Harrison Chase and LangChain team had just shipped new products including LangSmith Engine and SmithDB at the same event.
