Turso Blog Details Pavan Nambi Finding Over 10 Bugs in SQLite Using Quint

On May 18, 2026, Turso published a blog post describing how community member Pavan Nambi modeled the SQLite C API in Quint and ran generated traces against real SQLite. The process uncovered more than 10 bugs including crashes in sqlite3_deserialize and optimization flaws that SQLite later fixed via commits. Turso applied the formal methods approach to harden its own Rust-based SQLite rewrite. Pavan Nambi and the Quint project advanced testing beyond Turso's prior DST fuzzers and simulators.
