Cursor Partners with SpaceX for Model Training on Colossus Infrastructure

Cursor announced a partnership with SpaceX on April 21, 2026 to accelerate model training using xAI's Colossus supercomputer. Cursor released Composer less than six months earlier as its first agentic coding model with Composer 1.5 scaling reinforcement learning over 20 times and Composer 2 adding continued pretraining for frontier-level performance at lower cost. The partnership addresses compute bottlenecks to scale intelligence of models further. Each increase in compute has translated to meaningfully more capable models at Cursor.
