Global Payments renewed and expanded its embedded payments partnership with Lightspeed DMS on May 17, 2026. The company uses its Payrix Pro technology to integrate deeper inside partner software rather than only at the payment terminal. Global Payments introduced an AI-first Genius handheld POS device and new kiosk solutions at the National Restaurant Association Show. The company released in-house research on how order anxiety influences restaurant technology and customer behavior. The exclusive U.S. POS agreement with CKE Restaurants places Genius into more than 2,400 quick service locations where competitors like Toast, Block and Fiserv are also active.
