Cisco Acquires Israeli AI Cybersecurity Startup Astrix Security for $300-400 Million

Cisco agreed to acquire Israeli cybersecurity startup Astrix Security to strengthen protection for AI agents and non-human identities. The deal targets emerging threats from autonomous AI agents and integrates Astrix into Cisco's security portfolio including Duo and Secure Access. Astrix employs 120 people and has raised more than $85 million from investors including Menlo Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. Cisco announced the intent to acquire on May 4, 2026, with no financial terms disclosed in the initial statement.
