Bolt increased ride fares by 6% in Kenya on May 12, 2026. The Estonian ride-hailing company implemented the adjustment after sustained driver feedback on higher fuel and operating costs. Senior General Manager of Rides in East Africa Dimmy Kanyankole stated the change supports sustainable driver earnings while keeping services competitive. Kenya's EPRA had ordered a 50% fare increase for ride-hailing firms in April 2026. Bolt's pricing remains among the most competitive in the market following the 6% hike.
