Red Hat Launches Security-Built-In Development System at Summit 2026

Red Hat unveiled Red Hat Hardened Images and Fedora Hummingbird Linux at Red Hat Summit 2026 in Atlanta on May 13, 2026. The launch targets the AI agent era with ultra-small pre-tested container images and a rolling-release OS free of known CVEs. Ashesh Badani, Red Hat Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer, stated the framework enables faster AI application deployment with image trustworthiness and execution isolation. The strategy deepens collaboration with Nvidia on Red Hat AI Factory with Nvidia for sandboxed runtimes and zero-trust architecture.
