Scaleway Selected by European Commission for €180 Million Sovereign Public Cloud AI Platform

Scaleway is selected as one of four cloud providers under the European Commission's Cloud III Dynamic Purchasing System a €180 million procurement programme. The selection follows evaluation under the Cloud Sovereignty Framework assessing providers across legal operational and technological criteria. Scaleway as 100% European-owned company guarantees data localization within Europe. Damien Lucas CEO of Scaleway states that for every euro spent with Scaleway around 68 cents are reinvested in the European economy compared to around 20 cents for international hyperscalers.
