PayPal Braintree released its April 2026 network updates guide covering Visa and Mastercard changes effective from April 1 2026 onward. Updates include Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program threshold drop to 150 basis points with fines of 4 to 8 dollars per count globally and increases to Non-Domestic Settlement Currency Fees of 10 to 25 basis points in multiple regions. Mastercard adds Digital Enablement Fee services with minimum billing of 0.025 dollars in the US effective April 6 2026 and new Specialty Merchant Registration fees of 1000 dollars annually plus 0.02 dollars per transaction in various regions starting May 1 2026. The guide details authorization and digital commerce fee revisions across EU US CA and other regions with effective dates through January 2029.
