Payoneer and Upwork Extend Partnership to Explore Stablecoin Payouts for Freelancers

Payoneer Global Inc. and Upwork announced on May 14, 2026, the extension of their 15-year collaboration, with Payoneer maintaining its role as core payout infrastructure for international freelancers. The agreement adds a joint innovation phase where Upwork serves as Design Partner for stablecoin-enabled payouts to meet demand for faster, flexible fund access in Latin America and other emerging markets. Payoneer supports payouts via its global financial stack including accounts, bank transfers, and FX management across 190 countries. The companies will also connect Upwork's talent pool with Payoneer's SMB clients for expanded cross-border opportunities.
