Autodesk implemented Splunk Federated Search to address fragmented log data across multiple tools by routing high-value logs to Splunk for real-time analysis and archival data to Amazon S3. The deployment centralized visibility for upstream and downstream services troubleshooting from a single interface and achieved a 28% reduction in overall ingest costs while supporting mean time to resolution targets under 30 minutes. Principal Engineer Jyoti Kumar at Autodesk noted the approach optimized costs by sending only critical logs to Splunk. The feature became generally available with Splunk Platform 10.4 in May 2026.
