Naval Group Launches Second FDI Frigate Amiral Louzeau for French Navy

Naval Group conducted the launching ceremony for the second Defence and Intervention Frigate Amiral Louzeau on May 19, 2026, at its Lorient shipyard for the French Navy. The technical launch occurred on May 16, 2026, with attendance by Amiral Nicolas Vaujour, Chief of Staff of the French Navy, DGA representatives, and Naval Group Chairman and CEO Pierre Éric Pommellet. The FDI program includes nine ships on order total, with five for France and others for Greece and Sweden. Naval Group has now successfully launched five FDI frigates on schedule, three for Greece and two for France.
