Redis made Redis 8.6 generally available in open source with improvements in throughput, latency, and memory efficiency. The release added stronger Streams for consumer groups, new eviction policies, and native support for missing time series values. Redis introduced Agent Skills on GitHub for AI agents to handle memory and retrieval workflows. Redis Insight 3.2.0 added Azure Managed Redis support with Entra ID authentication. Redis 8.4 reached Redis Cloud Essentials and Pro tiers.
