Nippon Steel transitions US Steel Košice to direct ownership effective October 1, 2026. The Slovakia-based subsidiary renames to Nippon Steel Slovakia s.r.o. on the same date. USSK supplies high-quality steel products to automotive, electrical, packaging, energy, and construction sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. Nippon Steel acquired U.S. Steel in 2025.
