Google Group Product Manager Dmitry Lyalin and Principal Engineer Taylor Mullen announced the transition of Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI on May 19 2026. The update unifies tools into the Antigravity agent-first platform with shared backend for multi-agent workflows. Antigravity CLI is built in Go for faster execution and supports asynchronous background tasks plus Antigravity plugins. Enterprise customers using Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise retain unchanged access to Gemini CLI and latest models while consumer free Google AI Pro and Ultra users must migrate by June 18 2026 or lose service.
