Isara raised $94 million at a $650 million valuation with OpenAI as an investor on March 27, 2026. The nine-month-old San Francisco company, founded in June 2025 by two 23-year-olds Eddie Zhang and Henry Gasztowtt, develops multi-agent coordination software allowing hundreds or thousands of specialized AI agents to communicate, divide tasks, and align on goals for complex analytical tasks such as approximately 2,000 agents forecasting the price of gold. Primary target market is investment firms with secondary markets in biotechnology and geopolitical analysis. Isara has hired approximately twelve researchers from Google, Meta, and OpenAI. OpenAI’s involvement forms part of the broader pattern of $2.5 billion invested across five neolab research-heavy AI startups.
