Former Atlassian engineer Vasilios Syrakis published a 38-minute YouTube video after his March 2026 layoff that details the company's infrastructure stack. The video covers Envoy-based traffic routing replacing enterprise load balancers, sidecar architecture for auth and observability, DynamoDB plus SQS for event-driven provisioning, and Packer plus SaltStack for immutable VM deployments. Atlassian reported $1.79 billion revenue in the quarter of the layoff while CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes and co-founder Scott Farquhar each sold 866,145 shares for roughly $134 million in the prior six months.
