Superhuman disabled Grammarly’s Expert Review AI feature on March 11, 2026. The tool had used names and information from real writers including The Verge editor-in-chief to generate edit suggestions without permission. Superhuman director of product management Ailian Gan confirmed the decision after launching an opt-out email inbox for writers. Superhuman CEO Shishir Mehrotra apologized and committed to expert control over representation.
