Fin formerly Intercom launches Fin Operator AI agent on May 15, 2026 in San Francisco

The company formerly known as Intercom, now rebranded as Fin, launched Fin Operator on May 15, 2026 at a live event in San Francisco. Fin Operator is an AI agent for support operations teams that updates knowledge bases, debugs conversations, and analyzes performance data for the customer-facing Fin agent. Unlike Fin which replaces human support agents, Operator targets operations professionals who manage AI systems. The announcement came three days after the May 13, 2026 rebrand from Intercom to Fin.
