DLocal Completes AZA Asset Purchase to Strengthen Africa Presence

DLocal closed the AZA asset purchase transaction during Q1 2026, acquiring customer relationships, intellectual properties, licenses, and key talent in Africa. Pedro Arnt, CEO of DLocal, described the deal as strategically important for deepening capabilities and positioning across African markets. The company achieved a 10-year milestone since founding and a 5-year mark since its Nasdaq IPO in 2026. DLocal reported TPV of $14.1 billion for Q1 2026, up 73% year-over-year. DLocal initiated corrective actions including no new net hiring for the rest of the year.
