Adyen was chosen by Starling Bank to power Tap to Pay and payment features for UK SMEs directly in the Starling app as of May 19, 2026. The rollout starts with smartphone-based contactless card acceptance via NFC on iOS and Android, expanding later in 2026 to integrate card payment links into Starling's free in-app invoicing tool. SMEs can onboard and manage the full payment process without leaving the banking app or using extra hardware. Adyen and Starling executives emphasized flexibility and ease for small businesses accepting payments.
