Forrester New Wave Report Ranks Cloudflare Workers Highest for Edge FaaS

Forrester evaluated nine FaaS providers including Alibaba, Amazon, Cloudflare, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Nimbella, Oracle, and Tencent. The report highlights Cloudflare Workers edge network and V8 architecture as the best fit for pushing microservices to the edge. Since the report publication Cloudflare Workers added new observability features and language support templates beyond JavaScript and WebAssembly including TypeScript and Python. Cloudflare Workers platform now supports resilient critical error recovery in Rust Workers via upstream wasm-bindgen collaboration.
