Lambda completed a $1.5B raise. Lambda was founded in 2012 by brothers Stephen and Michael Balaban originally as a facial-recognition startup. Lambda builds GPU supercomputers and AI factories for training and inference with headquarters in the San Jose / Bay Area. Lambda serves customers including Intel, Microsoft, Google, Amazon Research, Tencent, Kaiser Permanente, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Caltech, Los Alamos National Lab, Disney, and the Department of Defense.
