Army awards $200 million contract to Rivet Industries for AI-enabled soldier glasses in 2025

The U.S. Army awarded a $200 million contract to Rivet Industries to develop prototype computers, goggles and watches under the Soldier Borne Mission Command program. Rivet Industries founder and CEO Dave Marra previously served as Program Director for the HoloLens IVAS program at Microsoft from 2013 to January 2023. The contract focuses on comfort, ruggedization, utility and compliance for frontline soldiers. Rivet Industries also partners with Lumus for waveguides in its military industrial AR devices.
