Buildkite appointed Kevin Gounden as CEO on August 4, 2025 to accelerate AI-enabled software delivery. The move followed hires of CTO James Wilson, CMO Jay Wampold, and CFO Francine Hackett. Buildkite raised $41.3M total including a $21M Series B in 2022 and serves customers shipping software to over 1,000,000,000 daily users. Founder Keith Pitt stepped down as CEO in the 2025 transition.
