Greenhouse released The Hire Standard benchmark report in March 2026. The report analyzed 640M+ applications across 6,000+ organizations to measure recruiting performance in the current environment. Applications surged while recruiting teams managed twice as many applications with half as many recruiters compared to prior periods. Recruiters source nearly 10% of hires despite contributing only 3% of applications according to the North America data snapshot.
