Moonshot AI Raises $2B at $20B Valuation in Latest Round

Moonshot AI raised approximately $2 billion in a new financing round that values the company at more than $20 billion on May 7, 2026. The round was led by Long-Z Investments, Meituan’s venture arm. Moonshot AI raised $500 million at $4.3 billion valuation in late 2025 and $700 million at $10 billion valuation earlier in 2026. Annual recurring revenue topped $200 million in April 2026 from Kimi chatbot and model services. The Beijing startup founded in 2023 by Yang Zhilin develops open-weight Kimi models competing with Western AI leaders.
