Only 14 percent of UK companies review direct suppliers for security impact and only 7 percent examine the wider supply chain according to UK Government cyber research. Supply chain attacks have become more popular with threat actors over the past few years because one breach provides access to many more organisations. The UK Government's Cyber Security and Resilience Bill will require more companies to improve detection and response capabilities.
