Notion Introduces Developer Platform on Official Blog with CLI and Agent SDK

Notion published the Developer Platform announcement on May 13, 2026 detailing CLI ntn for terminal access to all Notion API functions and Notion Agent SDK in alpha for embedding agents in external tools like MS Teams or Amplitude. Database Sync powered by Workers keeps external data fresh automatically while Custom Tools for Agents enable deterministic logic beyond MCP capabilities. Workers run in isolated sandboxes with progressive trust controls and become available on Business and Enterprise plans immediately. Over 1 million Custom Agents already exist from the prior February release.
