Otto Aerospace completed the preliminary design review for the Phantom 3500 in the last week of February 2026 at its future Jacksonville, Florida facility. The review covered systems, structures, and performance targets, enabling the freeze of aerodynamic design and major interfaces to move into detailed design and engineering release. Scott Drennan, president and CEO, noted the team remains focused on on-time delivery and certification planning. The program prepares for first flight in 2027 to prove practical laminar-flow technology for sustainable aviation.
