GitHub Copilot switches to AI Credits billing from June 1 2026. Copilot Pro+ remains USD 39 per month, Business USD 19 per user per month, and Enterprise USD 39 per user per month with each plan now providing equivalent AI Credits. Users pay per token for input, output, and cached content at Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google rates with overages billed to credit card. A preview bill for one user projected costs at roughly 9x April spend under the new model. HT Tech preview bill on the new Github model is projected at roughly 9x our April spend while GitHub stated the current premium request model is no longer sustainable.
