Salazar Resources identifies Monja as cornerstone copper-gold porphyry project in Ecuador

Salazar Resources Limited identified its 100% owned Monja Project as a cornerstone asset on April 8, 2026 and announced the update on May 14, 2026. The project covers 9,088 hectares in Loja Province southern Ecuador with a defined 2 km by 1 km mineralized core featuring copper-gold porphyry characteristics. Nine rock chip samples included one at 4.77% Cu, 1.12 g/t Au, 19.5 g/t Ag and 74 ppm Mo. On March 18, 2026 Salazar closed the acquisition of Ecuadorian exploration assets from Silvercorp Metals in exchange for a 1.5% net smelter return royalty on each of the Santiago, Pijilí and Tarqui-Quimi projects. Salazar retains a 25% carried interest in the El Domo deposit at Curipamba which holds proven and probable mineral reserves of 6.5 million tonnes at 1.93% Cu.
