Dell Updates AI Factory with Starburst-Powered Analytics Engine and Enhanced ObjectScale Storage

Dell expanded its AI Factory offerings on May 18, 2026, with the Dell AI Data Platform featuring a Starburst-powered Data Analytics Engine for GPU-accelerated SQL analytics. The engine provides up to 6x faster query performance than non-GPU-accelerated systems on NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with future support for Vera systems. The update includes the ObjectScale X7700 appliance offering 45% more HDD capacity and compatibility with 245TB SSDs alongside PowerRack for exascale storage. Dell has more than 5,000 AI Factory customers and added a Palantir partnership for data ingestion and automation on the platform. Michael Dell stated the changes help customers turn data into AI fuel on controlled infrastructure.
